ATD Group Oxygen Storage Plants Installed to Prepare For Third Wave of COVID-19

During the second wave of Covid-19, there was a severe shortage of oxygen across India in April and May. Many COVID patients died due to the lack of this life-saving gas. Now health experts have warned of a possible third wave of Covid-19.

  • India has started laying the foundation to be able to deal with such type of crisis in future setting up of Pressure Swing Adsorption (PSA) Oxygen Plants, Modular Hospitals and preparing 'Project O2' in various hospitals in India are underway.

  • According to DRDO, a total of 850 oxygen plants are being set up in various districts of the country from the PM Cares Fund to meet the country's oxygen needs in fighting this pandemic.

  • The second wave of COVID-19 also saw an increase in the demand for oxygen therapy across the world, making it necessary to manufacture medical oxygen to ensure we have an adequate supply of it in the future.

  • The Oxygen Generator Plant built on PSA technology is an air separation unit based on molecular sieve selective adsorption of nitrogen from the air.

  • PSA-based technology can continuously generate gas oxygen with 90-95% purity.

Fighting with this epidemic, the whole world has been fighting for more than a year, during which time they have gone through dangerous situations like lack of oxygen. The shortage of life-saving gas oxygen in treating patients in India's hospitals hampered the health care response and the fluctuating Covid-19 cases prompted the Rajasthan government to fight the fear of upcoming COVID-19 variants across the state inspired to set up generator plant.

  • ATD Group is actively installing oxygen plants with state-of-the-art technology "Misha" Oxygen Plants in several cities of Rajasthan including Ajmer city.

  • This oxygen plant will help the hospital there to meet the need for uninterrupted oxygen.

  • ATD Group is committed to bringing one million oxygen concentrators and 40 generators to help India fight the infectious virus.

  • The group is actively working to set up 60 plants in India, and now the ATD group company has successfully set up its second plant in Nawalgarh.

  • Committed to building a strong health infrastructure in the state, the ATD group established oxygen plants at Sikar and Alwar in Rajasthan. With continuous progress on this, ATD Group has set up its 5th plant at Pilani, Rajasthan.

The government is setting up oxygen plants across the state and is committed to cover health facilities in government and private hospitals. The ATD Group initiative will help the state and its cities be prepared for any impact of the current Delta Plus virus, which is known to be contagious and fatal to both adults and children.
